An avid globe-trotter, adventurous eater, and cinephile
At the intersection of materials and biomedical engineering, I study how designing materials microarchitecture and chemistry affect cellular growth. My journey started from engineering polymers for craniomaxillofacial implants (BEng), to integrating melt electrowriting and extrusion bioprinting for hard-soft tissue interfaces (MSc). Today, I'm a PhD candidate in biofabrication focusing on multimaterial and multicellular skin tissue engineering, integrating melt electrowriting to direct cellular organization with volumetric bioprinting to engineer dynamic microenvironments. My work spans a broad array of 3D (bio)printing techniques, and I explore the streamlining process of design conception, 3D modelling, and actual fabrication. Hauling from Indonesia, my academic journey has taken me across seven countries, and I am happy to bring an international perspective into my research. Outside of the lab, you can find me in a random city somewhere.
