Label your samples well

  • Be sure that the label is well visible and clearly written
  • Put all the important information:
    • Your name (maybe also the department name)
    • Date
    • Sample name/composition
    • Is it possible toxic or dangerous? – mark it!
    • Optionally: Experiment (name, type or number)
  • Collect metadata – make a list of your samples and connect it to the experiment in the lab journal
  • Optionally – make an image of all the samples and link it with the experiment (e.g. paste to your notebook)
