- Be sure that the label is well visible and clearly written
- Put all the important information:
- Your name (maybe also the department name)
- Date
- Sample name/composition
- Is it possible toxic or dangerous? – mark it!
- Optionally: Experiment (name, type or number)
- Collect metadata – make a list of your samples and connect it to the experiment in the lab journal
- Optionally – make an image of all the samples and link it with the experiment (e.g. paste to your notebook)
