Control samples to show that:
- The test/staining/research method/calculation work properly
- The test/staining/research method/calculation was performed correctly
- The experimental sample is different that golden standard or typical sample
- The obtained results can/cannot be compared with other studies
Every experiment, even preliminary, should be:
- Carefully planned
- Documented in the lab journal
- Include controls !!!
